One of the more infuriating tactics of scam publishers is to give their
journals names that are confusingly similar to those of long-established
legitimate journals. A new scam publisher, vingcs, has decided to go
all the way and use the exact same name as a journal of interest to this
community.

THE LEGITIMATE JOURNAL: The International Journal of Artificial
Intelligence in Education (IJAIED), published by Springer, is the
official journal of the AIED Society. Springer is a leading scientific
publisher and has been in business for over 70 years. The journal web
site at https://www.springer.com/journal/40593 lists the editorial board
and advisory board, who are well-known members of the research
community.

THE SCAM JOURNAL: The International Journal of Artificial Intelligence
in Education (IJAIE), published by vingcs Publishing, has a web site at
http://vingcs.com/journals/aia/index.html. The "Contacts" link lists no
corporate offices or physical mailing address, just a Yahoo email. The
web site is broken in various ways, e.g., fractured English, and the
sample articles shown are actually from other journals from this
publisher. It's a dumpster fire. I became aware of this journal when
they spammed me with a call for papers -- twice on the same day.

Take home lesson: look carefully at any journal that improperly solicits
you for manuscripts. Legitimate journals will send calls for papers for
things like special issues to mailing lists such as the ai4k12 list, but
they won't spam your personal email or actively hide the identity of the
publisher.
