What can robots teach us about human interaction?

I ran across this nice little TED talk by Pim Haselager of the
University of Nijmegen, called "What can robots teach us about human
interaction?"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=umOnzJqMNqY
He touches on a number of topics having to do with how different
generations of humans react to technology, and how robots can help us
develop a better appreciation for the complexities of human experience,
from children to adults to the elderly.
This provides a fresh perspective for teachers weary of the usual "the
sky is falling" technology forecasts, and could spawn some interesting
classroom discussions.
