SPECIAL CONSIDERATION FOR K-12 TEACHERS:

1. As part of its ongoing outreach efforts, AAAI is offering drastically
reduced registration rates for practicing K-12 teachers who wish to
attend the symposium. K-12 teachers can register at the "student
member" rate of $225, which is less than half the non-student, non-AAAI
member rate of $560. When registering, you may be asked to provide
proof that you are currently employed as a K-12 teacher.

2. Thanks to a grant from the AI Journal, we are able to offer a small
number of travel scholarships to teachers who wish to attend the
symposium. These scholarships will cover up to $1200 for registration,
airfare, ground transportation, hotel, and meals. Since we are looking
to welcome new people to the community, applicants should be practicing
K-12 teachers who did not attend last year's symposium and are not
currently serving on the AI4K12 Working Group. To apply, please fill out
this form by September 10: https://forms.gle/qAE8AMRZNZxqgNRn8

We look forward to seeing you in November!
