Hi Handeep,

The book Wild Robot is written in very short chapters, sometimes 1 page in length. Overall, the story is long but one can stop at any point without student angst. I teach gifted kiddos 1-5. My first graders have good discussions about what is fiction about AI in the story or if a robot could learn the way Roz does in the book. Also, would be possible for a robot to be "kind" or just "act" kind. We also talk about how the robot learns in the story and if that would be possible or is fiction. My second and third graders are more critical about the portrayal of AI and we look at the choices the author makes and why he has the robot behave in certain ways to make the story better, but the first graders are very engaged and thoughtful about the story and the AI in it. And, it's an enjoyable read! There is not a lot out there, yet!

How have your books been selling? I saw them at ISTE and a friend of mine was excited to get them for her grandchild.
